The 2019 season will mark John's 15th season with the Gryphon football coaching staff. Over the past decade and a half, John as served as the Niagara Recruiting Officer with the Gryphons while also assisting with the special teams units on game days focusing on player personnel assignments and substitutions. As a player, John played five seasons as a defensive back with the Gryphons (1994, 1997-2000) earning his Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours, History) from the University of Guelph. John lives in the Niagara Region with his wife Lisa, son Carson and daughter McKenna and teaches Math and PhysEd at Lakeshore Catholic High School.
