Anthony joins the Gryphons for his first season this year after serving as the defensive assistant and linebacker coach for the Cambridge Lions Jr team in the OVFL last season.  In 2008 and 2009 he was the assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Laurier Golden Hawks. In 2009 he also served as the assistant defensive coordinator and linebacker coach at Jacob Hespeler high school in Cambridge, Ont. where he also attended. As a player, he was a linebacker with the Golden Hawks from 2003-2007.  He was a member of the 2004 Yates Cup and 2005 Yates Cup and Vanier Cup championship teams. In 2007 he was a first team OUA all-star, second team CIS all-Canadian and was named the OUA defensive player of the year.  Following university he played professional football for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2008) and then the Montreal Alouettes where he won a Grey Cup Championship title in 2009.
