The 2024-25 season marks Geoffrey Johnson’s fourth season as Head Coach with the University of Guelph women’s varsity curling team. Geoffrey is a NCCP Certified ‘Competition Coach’ and is a NCCP Trained ‘Competition Development Coach’ in curling. Prior to joining the Gryphons varsity curling program, he has coached teams at the U18 and U21 levels since 2013. Geoffrey’s curling career saw him compete on the Ontario Curling Tour and World Curling Tour, while also taking part in numerous Ontario Curling Association provincial playdowns and qualifiers to which he has earned a myriad of curling titles. In all, Geoffrey has been active in the sport of curling for over 30 years. Geoffrey has spent close to 20 years working in amateur sport at the provincial and national level. He has an educational background in Sport Business Management from Durham College and currently is the Director of Sport Development for Squash Canada. A native to Guelph, he and his wife Christina live with their two children Aidan and Adalyn.
