WVB RECAP: Gryphons Close Out 2025 Portion of Schedule with Weekend Split versus Windsor

GUELPH, Ont. – The Gryphons women's volleyball team closed out the 2025 portion of their OUA regular season schedule with a pair of home games versus the Windsor Lancers on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29. The Lancers arrived in Guelph on Friday with one of the best records in the OUA at 6-2, and improved to 7-2 on the season with a four-sets (21-25, 22-25, 25-23 & 19-25) victory over the Gryphons on Friday night. On Saturday night (Nov. 29), the Gryphons responded with a hard-fought, five-sets victory over the Lancers, with set scores of 25-16, 17-25, 18-25, 25-14 & 15-12. Jordan Vang and Maia Dan helped lead the way on Saturday night for the Gryphons, with 16 points apiece, while Brooke Preszcator (11.5 points) and Alexandra Nicholson-Clarke (10 points) contributed to a balanced Gryphon attack. With the win on Saturday night, the Gryphons improve to 6-4 on the season heading into the December exam/holiday break. The Gryphons (6-4) will resume their OUA regular season schedule in the new year, when they travel to Kingston for a pair of weekend matchups with the Queen's Gaels (5-5) on Friday, Jan. 9 and Saturday, Jan. 10.
