WATERLOO, Ont. – The Gryphons men's basketball team used a 17-0 run in the 4th quarter on Friday night (Nov. 28) at the University of Waterloo, en route to a 69-50 victory over the Waterloo Warriors. The Gryphons took a slim, three-point lead into the final quarter of play, but outscored the Warriors 24-8 in the final quarter to sweep the season series versus the Warriors, with Guelph also having defeated Waterloo, 102-75, back on November 1. massive one-handed dunk over a Waterloo defender midway through the 4th quarter. The Gryphons (6-6) will now head into the holiday/exam break, with the team set to return to the court in the new year, where they will host the No. 2-ranked team in the country in the Western Mustangs (10-1) on Friday, January 9, 2026 (8pm) at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre.
