GUELPH, Ont. – Gryphons fourth-year guard,
Hannah Bourdon, recorded a career-high in both points (30) and rebounds (17) to lead the Guelph Gryphons women's basketball team to an 85-77 victory over the Brock Badgers on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 22, 2025) at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre. With the win, the Gryphons improve to 8-2 on the season (1st in the OUA West Division), while the Badgers fall to 4-4.
Bourdon, an OUA Second Team All-Star a season ago, put together the best performance of her standout U of G career, with sport and event management major from Fort Erie, Ontario carrying the Gryphons down the stretch, scoring 16 of her career-high 30 points in the 4th quarter. Bourdon hit a career-high seven three-pointers in the game, finishing 7-of-11 from beyond the arc and 10-of-20 from the field. Bourdon also led the way on the glass with 17 rebounds, while also picking up a game-high 4 steals to go with 4 assists. Brock help a 63-62 lead after three quarters of play, but Guelph out-scored the Badgers 23-14 in the final quarter to secure the 85-77 victory. Gryphons forward,
Christina Morra (Mississauga, ON), added 18 points, while
Keryl Ousey made an impact off the U of G bench adding 10 points (4-8 shooting in 16 minutes). For the Brock Badgers, two-time reigning OUA Player of the Year, Madalyn Weinert, had 28 points (11-22 shooting), 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Weinert, a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian a season ago, entered Saturday's game as the second-leading scorer in all of U SPORTS at 21.4 PPG.
Next up for the Gryphons (8-2), a pair of road games, beginning with a mid-week trip to Wilfrid Laurier University on Wednesday, November 26 to face the Laurier Golden Hawks. The Gryphons will then close out the 2025 portion of their 2025-26 season with a Friday night (Nov. 28) road game at the University of Waterloo against the Warriors.
