Wellington Brewery & Gryphons Athletics Team Up to Support Student-Athletes

Guelph, ON – Gryphon Athletics and Wellington Brewery are excited to announce the return of Gryphon Gold Helles Lager. This community-driven partnership celebrates the achievements of Gryphon student-athletes and supports student scholarships.

Brewed in Guelph at Wellington Brewery, Gryphon Gold is a crisp and refreshing Helles-style lager with an iconic can design that showcases the Gryphon—a symbol of teamwork, excellence, and community pride.

"As one of Canada's original independently owned craft breweries, we are proud to partner with the University of Guelph," says Brent Davies, President of Wellington Brewery. "Gryphon Gold reflects our commitment to investing in our community and celebrating the incredible talent and drive of Gryphon athletes."

As part of the partnership, Wellington Brewery will make an annual gift to support the Gryphon Scholarship program. The scholarship program is focused on supporting student-athletes in pursuing their academic and athletic goals.

"The product and packaging of Gryphon Gold is special and unique and celebrates our Gryphon tradition. Fans can show their Gryphon pride by picking up cans of Gryphon Gold from the Wellington Brewery retail store (with flat-rate shipping across Ontario) and from select locations on campus.
