The quarterfinal match will see the 4th-seeded Gryphons and the 5th-seeded Mustangs square off for the third time this year, with the two teams meeting twice in the regular season. The Gryphons took both matches over the Mustangs by scores of 1-0 on home turf and 4-3 in London. The U of G field hockey program is in search of their 5th OUA title in program history, with the most recent conference title coming in 2019. Varsity Field | Guelph, ON
Guelph Gryphons (No. 2-seed) vs Brock Badgers (No. 3-seed)
The Gryphons women's rugby is set to begin their 2023 postseason this Saturday (Oct. 21) when they host the Brock Badgers for the second year in a row in the

semifinal round. Last season, the Gryphons defeated the Badgers 58-0 to advance to the OUA Championship. This will also be the second time the two teams have met this season, with their regular season game coming back on September 2 with Guelph picking up the season-opening win 44-10. After their win over the Badgers the Gryphons went on to finish the 2023 regular season with a 5-1 record and their only loss being to the, at the time, U SPORTS No. 1-ranked Queens' Gaels in Kingston. The Gryphons are in search of their 18th conference banner (most recent in 2021) and third national title (most recent in 2011) this postseason.
