SUDBURY, ON - Saturday night at Laurentian University, the Gryphons men's basketball team suffered a 79-50 loss to the Laurentian Voyageurs. The Gryphons shot just 29% from the floor and fall to 4-12 on the season. Laurentian meanwhile push their win streak to four and improve to 8-9 on the season.

Drew Walford were the two Gryphons to score in double figures, each finishing with 11 points. The Gryphons trailed by 15 at the half and down 27 after three quarters of play. The Gryphons were just 2-of-15 from beyond the arc, 20-of-68 from the field (29.4%) and were out-rebounded 55-43 on the night.
Despite the disappoining result Saturday night in Sudbury, the Gryphons remain in the midst of a hunt for a spot in the OUA playoffs with just three games remaining on the regular season schedule. All three of the Gryphons remaining games come on homecourt. The Gryphs will host Lakehead (4-11) for back-to-back games on February 11 and 12, and will close the regular season versus Waterloo on February 18.
