TORONTO, ON - Sunday afternoon in Toronto, the Gryphons Field Hockey team improved to 5-0 on the season with a convincing 5-0 win over the McGill Martlets.
Katherine MacMillan (Kitchener, ON) put Guelph on the scoreboard 7 minutes into the contest on a penalty corner which ended up being the game winner. She recorded her second just a minute later. Rookie
Stephanie Kingsleyy (Port Hope, ON) scored her first league marker as a Gryphon to put Guelph up 3-0 going into the break.
At the 50 minute mark, captain
Ciara Condon (London, ON) sniped a hard shot from the top of the circle to extend the lead to 4-0. Kingsley would add another with 9 minutes to go to cap the scoring for the day.
