ST. CATHARINES, ON - Saturday afternoon in St. Catharines the Gryphons men's rugby team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 67-5 win over the Brock Badgers.
The Gryphons scored early and often against the Badgers with three tries coming in the opening 13 minutes of play as the Gryphons jumped out to a 15-0 lead. The Gryphons continued to apply pressure in both attack and defence, resulting in multiple line breaks. When the first half came to a close, the Gryphons held a comfortable 41-0 lead and would cruise to a 67-5 victory.
Eight different Gryphon players scored tries, with
Jordan Hofstra finishing with a team-high three tries, followed by fifth year prop
Ryan Brethour who had two.
Cody Weese-Burton had six converts.
