BURLINGTON, ON - On Wednesday, November 9, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) officially announced the list of all-stars for the 2016 football season with a trio Gryphons receiving recognition. Second year linebacker
Job Reinhart (Guelph, ON) was the lone Gryphon to be selected as an OUA First Team All-Star after a tremendous season on the Gryphons special teams units. Reinhart, who was named a special teams all-star at the Rush/Cover position, played a critical role on all six of the Gryphons special teams units. The local Guelph native, who was also perfect in handling the Gryphons long snapping responsibilities on field goal and punt, finished the 2016 season with 12 special teams tackles and one forced fumble. Reinhart, a two-sport athlete who also competes on the Gryphons men's wrestling team, is the younger brother of U of G Alum and current CFL'er, Jake Reinhart, who handles long snapping duties for the Toronto Argonauts.Â

A pair of Gryphons also earned OUA Second Team All-Star honours. Third year defensive half-back
Nick Parisotto, who was named a Second Team All-Canadian last season as a sophomore, finished fifth on the team in tackles (28.5) in 2016 while also recording a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three pass break ups. He is joined on the OUA Second Team by Gryphons offensive lineman
Andrew Pickett. This marks the second year in a row that Pickett has been named an OUA Second Team All-Star. Three seasons ago, Pickett dressed every game as a rookie. The last two seasons, he has helped anchor the o-line by starting at left guard.
