ST. CATHARINES, ON - Saturday afternoon in St. Catharines the Gryphons women's soccer team extended their win streak to six with a 1-0 victory over the Brock Badgers. Rookie striker Victoria Hinchliffe scored her team-leading 9th goal of the season to secure the three points. The lone goal of the game came in the 10th minute of play and would prove to be enough as Libby Brenneman picked up her eighth shutout of the season.

With the win, the Gryphons improve to 9-2-3 (wins-losses-draws) on the season and move into a temporary tie with York for first place in the OUA West division standings with 30 points. York, who have a game-in-hand on the Gryphons, will face Brock on Sunday. The Gryphons now have two games remaining in their regular season schedule, both at home, and will next be in action on Thursday, October 20th at 8:15pm when they host the Western Mustangs.
