Gryphons Head Coach Paul Funk stated, "We did not compete or follow our game plan at all in the first 2 sets and you're not going to be successful doing that. In the second half of the match when we executed what we had talked about before the match, we were competitive, but today our fate was sealed early on."
Nicole Collard led the Guelph offense with 11 points (9 kills, 1 ace, 1 block) followed by
Becky Breau (8 kills, 1 ace) and
Victoria Golebiowski (6 kills, 3 aces) with 9 each while
Kristen Almhjell led the defence with 15 digs. The Gryphons next action is next Friday on the road when they take on the Western Mustangs at 6pm.Â
