MRGBY: Gryphons Remain Undefeated with 69-0 Win Over Varsity Blues

Guelph, ON - Friday night at home, the Gryphons Men's Rugby team improved to 4-0 on the season. With the loss, the Varsity Blues fall to 0-4.
"Player of the Game" honours for the Gryphons went to third year flanker Blake Aram (Guelph, ON) who scored a pair of tries and proved to be a constant threat on both sides of the ball. Second year Hooker and Toronto native Jack Caylor also had a standout performance for the Gryphons and was one of four U of G players (Marcello Wainright, Andrew Douglas and Kolby Francis being the others) to record their first career tries in Gryphon colours. In total, seven different players had tries for the Gryphons, while Nate Stein kicked 5 converts for 10 points.
The impressive depth of this 2015 Gryphons Men's Rugby roster was certainly on display Friday night as 12 of the 15 players in the starting lineup were new faces that were not in the starting lineup a week ago versus Laurier.
The Gryphons will look to improve to 5-0 on Friday night (Oct. 2) when they host the McMaster Marauders at 8pm.
