Toronto, ON – On Saturday, September 12 the Gryphons will head to York University for a Week 3 matchup with the York Lions. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm and can be seen live online at OUA.tv.
The Gryphons are currently ranked No. 5 in the CIS after a 30-19 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Labour Day. This week, Stu Lang and company head up the 401 to face York in what will be the Lions annual

Homecoming game. York is coming off of a 74-10 loss to No. 3 Western on Monday night which dropped them to 0-2 on the season. However, the Lions produced a much more respectable result in their season opener against Laurier in which they were on the wrong end of a 38-21 decision. In that Week 1 matchup with Laurier, York was able to generate over 400 yards of offence against a tough Golden Hawks defence. Last season, the Gryphons and Lions did not meet. In their most recent meeting, in October of 2013, it was the Gryphons who prevailed 33-7.
