Demolition of the men's staff change room offices and old sub station is taking place now and the work should be complete by the end of next week. The contractor is having an interesting time of it discovering plumbing lines and electrical wires not on any drawings has slowed this part of the work down considerably. Once complete Aquicon will pour the foundation footings for the rest of the south and west falls, pour the walls and begin installing the steel.
Progress on the administrative side continues to move forward as hundreds of shop drawings are being reviewed by Aquicon, MJMA, the consultants and Physical Resources staff weekly.
Detailed design work on Phase 2A has been completed, MJMA will now move forward with developing tender documents. The plan is to issue the project for tender this fall with construction to begin in April 2016.
