After a scoreless opening period, Toronto would open up the scoring with just under three minutes to go in the second period on a goal from Kassandra Roache. The Gryphons would respond to tie things at 1-1 when rookie Kaitlin Lowy would score the first playoff goal of her OUA career. Unfortunately for the Gryphons, the Varsity Blues would answer back before the end of the perid on a goal from Becki Bowering as U of T took a slim 2-1 lead to the final period.

In the third, the Gryphons would throw everything they had at U of T goalie Nicole Kesteris. There were only two penalties called the entire game, both coming against Toronto in the final period, giving the Gryphons a great opportunity to tie the game at 2-2.  Despite constant pressure and tremendous effort from the Gryphons, they would be unable to find a way through.  Guelph even pulled their goalie with just under three minutes to go to have a 6-on-4 advantage, but still were unable to find the equalizer.  The Varsity Blues would hold on to win it 2-1 to hand the Gryphons their first loss of the 2015 postseason, tying the series at a game apiece.

The Gryphons will now return home for the decisive Game 3 - Sunday at 2pm at the Gryphon Centre. The winner of Sunday afternoon's game will advance to the OUA Final and qualify for the CIS Championships which are being hosted by the University of Calgary March 12-15.
