Kingston, ON - Sunday afternoon in Kingston the Gryphons Women's Volleyball team won in straight sets over RMC. Set scores were 25-15, 25-19 & 28-26. With the win, the Gryphons improve to 4-4 on the season while RMC falls to 1-7.
Jessica Gormley led the Gryphons with 15 points while Maddie Dedecker, Victoria Golebiowski and Nicole Collard also all scored in double figures. Dedecker finished with a team-high 11 kills while also racking up 14 digs. The 14 digs were tied for the team-high with Kristen Almhjell. The Gryphons will now get set for a pair of critical divisional games this week at the W.F. Mitchell Athletics Centre. The Lakehead Thunderwolves (3-4) sit just two points behind the Gryphons in the OUA West standings and will visit Guelph for a pair of games on Thursday night followed by another matchup on Friday night. Thursday's match starts at 7pm, Friday's at 8pm.
