Coach Funk stated, "I don't think either team played up to their best level as there were unforced errors on both sides but we managed to pull it out of the fire late. We did some good things with serve to try and limit some of their options offensively. Our blocking wasn't very good at times in terms of tactics, but we'll take the win."
Maddie DeDecker led the offense with 12 points (12 kills) followed by
Meghan Morelli (8 kills, 2 aces, 1 block) and
Nicole Collard (7 kills, 1 ace, 3 blocks) with 11 each while
Kristen Almhjell led the defense with 26 digs. The Gryphons home stand continues next weekend when they take on the Western Mustangs next Friday at 6pm.
