Oshawa, ON - The Gryphons Women's Lacrosse team suffered an 11-6 loss to the Trent Excalibur in the opening game of the 2015 OUA Women's Lacrosse Championships hosted by UOIT. Leading the way for Guelph in the losing effort was fourth year attack Victoria Flood (Brampton, ON) who recorded a hat trick. Fourth year midfielder Laurel McGillis scored twice while first year player Olivia Kaminski rounded out the scoring for U of G. The Gryphons, who went 1-12 during the regular season, are still alive in the double-knockout style tournament and will be back in action on Saturday morning at 9am versus in a win-or-go-home matchup with the York Lions.
