Guelph, ON - After going 0-3 out West in the UBC Preseason Tournament, the Gryphons Men's Basketball team got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon at the W.F. Mitchell Athletics Centre with an 87-78 win over the St. FX X-Men. After a busy off-season of international duty with the Palestinian National team, Gryphons fourth year forward Ahmed Haroon led the way with 21 points. Third year guards Dan Dooley (18 points) and Taylor Boers (16 points) were close behind. Drew Walford chipped in with 13 points while also impacting the game at the defensive end with 3 blocks. The Gryphons are now 2-0 on home court this preseason and will play each of their final four preseason games at home before the OUA regular season schedule gets underway. Up next for the Gryphons, the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Friday, October 16 at 7pm.
