WBB: Gryphons roll over Nipissing to finish 2-0 on northern Ontario road trip

North Bay, Ont. – The Gryphon women's basketball team finished their weekend trip to northern Ontario with a 2-0 record.  After beating Laurentian on Friday, the Gryphons were victorious again on Saturday as they rolled over Nipissing 105-37.
 
Katelyn Yallin (Port Colborne, Ont.) led all scorers with 28 points and was six of 11 from beyond the arc.  Yallin also had seven rebounds in the game.  Close behind her was teammate Kate MacTavish (Waterloo, Ont.) who racked up 20 points and eight rebounds.  Rookie guard Bridget Atkinson (Welland, Ont.) continues her strong play in 2014 as she poured in 19 points to go with eight assists.  The Gryphons jumped all over Nipissing early, taking a 39 point lead at the half and would not look back from there.
 
With the win, the Gryphons improve to 5-2 on the season while the Nipissing Lakers fall to 0-6.
The Gryphons will be back in action Saturday, January 10th versus Laurier.
