Oshawa, Ont. (Oct. 31, 2014) - The Gryphon's fell short to the Toronto Varsity Blues team for the second time in the season, losing their second game of the OUA tournament 5-15 and eliminating their chances to medal. Though Gryphon midfielder Laurel McGillis started off strong with a goal just over 2 minutes into the game, skilled and confident goaltending by the Toronto keeper kept the Gryphon offense at bay for the rest of the game and the Blues' strong offensive line spread the score from a 3 goal lead at half to 10 by the end of the game. It is noted that the tough loss was not for a lack of heart by the Gryphon team, as displayed by 2
nd year Taylor Kidd, who dominated the midfield as she had done consistently all season, and earned Player of the Game by the Toronto coaching squad.
