The Guelph Gryphon women's hockey team defeated the Ryerson Rams 4-0 tonight on the road, outshooting them 55-10.

Guelph came out very strong taking a 3-0 lead and getting 28 shots in the first period. Jessica Pinkerton (Oshawa, Ont.) started off the scoring with assists going to Leigh Shilton (Belleville, Ont.) and Talia Paone (Ancaster, Ont.). Erin Small (Pickering, Ont.) followed up a minute later with a short handed goal, assists going to Tamara Bell (Guelph, Ont.). Three minutes later Jenna Lanzarotta (Mississauga, Ont.) scored an unassisted goal. The second period started to get a little chippy with four four minute penalties being given out, but the scored remained 3-0 at the end of the second. Halfway through the third Erin Small had a great individual effort notching her second of the game.

The Gryphons are back on the road tomorrow against the Toronto Varsity Blues at 4:00 p.m. in Toronto.
