DAN MCCARTHY, MEN’S BASKETBALL
Dan McCarthy, a fourth-year guard from Guelph, Ont. scored 50 points on the weekend as the Guelph Gryphons split against the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues.  The Science major finished with 28 points and eight rebounds on Friday in a tough two-point loss (68-66) to Ryerson. The next night the Gryphons bounced back in a 89-71 win over Toronto led by McCarthy who scored a double-double tallying 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. He now leads the team in points and rebounds averaging 20.8ppg and 7.5 rpg and is fourth in OUA scoring.
