Andrew Nixon, from Thunder Bay, Ont. was the fastest male runner at the CIS cross country championships finishing the 10 km race in 31:42.8, just six seconds ahead of teammate Alex Genest for the gold medal.  Their 1-2 combo helped the Guelph men earn a sixth straight national title on Saturday at the Plains of Abraham. The third-year human resources student was named the CIS athlete of the year and a first team All-Canadian.
