POWERADE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:

JENNA LANZAROTTA, WOMEN’S HOCKEY

Lanzarotta, a second-year centre from Mississuaga, Ont. scored two points, setting up both the tying and winning goal in the Guelph Gryphons 2-1 overtime OUA quarterfinal victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues on Sunday. Her first assist came on the power play with just over two minutes left in the second period to tie the game at 1-all.  She earned her second assist with just over six minutes into the second overtime, setting up Guelph’s Tori Woods for the game winner.  These points put her at 23 total points in 25 games on the season. The Gryphons now advance to the OUA semi-finals where they will play a best-of-three series with the Brock Badgers.
