Leigh had a tremendous week in Calgary at the CIS Women's Hockey Championships, scoring four goals in three games while leading the Gryphons to a fifth place finish. Thanks in large part to Shilton, the Gryphons were able to finish the week with two wins and one loss, marking the first time in three attempts they have recorded a winning record at nationals. Not only was Shilton contributing on offence with her four goals, she was also playing a huge role defensively. Leigh's versatility was on full display as she started every game at forward, but was also used on the penalty kill as well as on the blue line in situations where the Gryphons needed to make stops. Shilton was named an OUA Second Team All-Star this season.
