Jared had a huge throw in the men's 35 lb weight throw at the York Open this past weekend.  The 6-foot-1, 260 pound Toronto native won the competition with a throw of 18.51, a mark which sits him third in the CIS.  The third year Marine & Fresh water Biology major also competes in shot put where he finished sixth at the York Open (14.93m).  The Gryphons Track and Field athletes will be in action again on Saturday, February 14th when they head to Windsor for the Windsor Team Challenge.
