Fourth-year middle blocker Jen Johnstone (North Vancouver, BC) totaled 21.5 points in leading the Guelph Gryphons women’s volleyball team to two big road wins on the weekend and lift them into second place in the OUA West division. Johnstone led all Gryphon players with six kills, 5.5 blocks and two aces as the team defeated Windsor in a 3-2 battle on Friday night. Her two match saving blocks late in the fourth set allowed the Gryphons to secure the fifth set victory. The Environmental Governance major followed that up with another great performance on Saturday notching three kills, one ace and four blocks to help lead the Gryphons to a 3-1 win over the Western Mustangs in London.
