Rookie QB James Roberts (Cambridge, Ont.) made the first start of his OUA career on Saturday at Laurier, leading the Gryphons to a 41-36 victory over the Golden Hawks.

On his first pass attempt of the game, Roberts connected with James Ingram for a 50-yard touchdown.  Roberts would pick up his second touchdown pass of the game later in the first half when he found a diving Jacob Scarfone in the endzone for a 31-yard score.  

Roberts helped the Gryphons secure their third consecutive 7-1 finish in the regular season.
