First year forward, Olivia Lane (Guelph, Ont.) was instrumental in the Field Hockey Gryphons two weekend victories. The rookie recorded a hat trick on the day and both game winning goals. Lane scored two in the 4-0 win over the York Lions and added a single in the 3-1 win over the Queen's Gaels. Lane, a 4-time Athlete of the Year at Bishop Mac, has surprisingly only played this sport for two years."Olivia has made an immediate impact on the field for us. It's exciting to watch such a naturally talented athlete who is so driven continue to progress every day,” said head coach Michelle Turley.
