Fourth-year receiver Alex Charette (St. Catharine’s, Ont.) was a force for the Gryphons hauling in eight catches for 61 yards and three touchdowns in Guelph’s 50-18 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues Saturday. Charette set the tone early for the Gryphon offence, scoring two-of-his three touchdowns in the first half. The 6-foot-1 speedy receiver also played a strong role in the run game blocking for the Gryphons and has now registered touchdown scores in both of Guelph’s games this season.
