Kyle Boorsma, Cross Country

Kyle Boorsma of Guelph, Ont. won the 2010 CIS men’s individual gold medal Saturday afternoon, finishing the 10-kilometre race with a time of 31:53.0 at the Club de golf de Sherbrooke.  He was named the 2010 CIS cross country athlete of the year and a first-team all-canadian.  This was his fourth first team all-canadian honor.  He also becomes the first male athlete to win five CIS team championships in a career after leading the Gryphons to a record setting sixth consecutive title, with the lowest team score since 1974
