Third-year goalie Stephanie Nehring posted 31 saves in a 2-game shutout performance in helping the Guelph Gryphons women’s hockey team to two big wins in OUA women’s hockey action this weekend.
 
The Oshawa, Ont., native recorded 14 saves in leading the Gryphons to a 3-0 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday afternoon at the Gryphon Centre. Nehring then turned around and put forward another outstanding performance in a 17-save performance as the Gryphons topped the Nipissing Lakers 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at home.
 
The Criminal Justice major has tallied an impressive seven shutouts this season in 16 games and sits first among OUA goaltenders and second in the CIS in GAA (1.14). She holds a .941 save percentage and leads the country in wins with a 14-2 record. The Gryphons are second in the OUA with a 15-3-0 record, one point behind Laurier but with a game in hand over the Golden Hawks.
