Second year Evan Van Moerkerke (Tillsonburg, Ont.) led the Gryphon men this weekend at the OUA Stratten Divisional Championships hosted in Guelph. The Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics student earned five medals at the meet. He won gold in the men’s 50m freestyle and the 50m butterfly and was then out-touched by 3/100ths in the 100m freestyle for a silver medal. He also placed fourth in the 100m backstroke event. On the relay side, he was a key part in the Gryphons winning the 4 x 50m freestyle relay and also earned an silver with the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay.
