Erica Bain, Women’s Soccer
Fifth year striker Erica Bain of Niagara Falls, Ont. is this week’s Gryphon female athlete of the week. Bain scored four goals in leading the Gryphons to a 3-0 week including two shutouts in OUA women’s soccer action this past week. The Science major scored the game winning goal on Wednesday to lead the Gryphons over the Ridgebacks 1-0. She followed that up with two goals in the team’s 3-0 victory over the York Lions on Saturday. On Sunday against Waterloo she scored the team’s first goal and was instrumental in the game-winning goal. Bain is now tied atop the OUA in scoring with four goals in four games played.
