Gryphon women’s soccer player Alexandra King (Ottawa) is this week’s Gryphon female athlete of the week following an impressive game in goal. The second-year Zoology major helped lead her Gryphon team to a 2-0 victory over the McMaster Marauders in the 2013 season opener on Sunday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex. The 5-foot-10 goalie handled and distributed the ball well throughout the game and made key saves to preserve the shutout victory. The Gryphons look to continue their winning ways this Wednesday in Oshawa against the UOIT Ridgebacks at 8:00 p.m.
