ALISHA HARRICHARIAN, SWIMMING
Standout swimmer Alisha Harricharian swept the butterfly events en route to a triple performance at the 2013 OUA Swimming Championships this past weekend and was named the OUA female swimmer of the meet. The third-year Psychology student opened the meet with a first place finish in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:13.80. The next day she claimed another gold with a first place finish in the 50m butterfly with a time of 27.52. A native of Brampton, Ont., Harricharian completed the sweep on day three, claiming the gold in the 100m butterfly, setting a new OUA record with a time of 1:00.22. She also added a bronze medal in the women’s 4 x 50 freestyle relay and is now off to the CIS Championships next week in Calgary.
