Fourth-year Kim Wong from Mississauga, Ont. was instrumental this past weekend in leading the Guelph Gryphons women’s hockey team to a 3-1 win over Western on Saturday and a 2-0 win over Windsor on Sunday in Guelph. The Human Kinetics major logged almost 30 minutes in each game and played a critical role in the team’s impressive 100% penalty kill, which killed off all 17 penalties against including two extended 5v3 opportunities.  Wong led the Gryphon defenders in shots on net and also recorded an assist in the game-winning goal over Western on Saturday.  The Gryphons sit third in the OUA, just two points back of first place.
