The Gryphons women's rugby team rises one spot to No. 4 in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 rankings. The Gryphons impressed in their home opener on Friday night (Sept. 11), defeating the previously ranked No. 7-ranked Laurier Golden Hawks 99-8 led by a three try output from Addy Holmes and
Madison Donnelly. Next up for the No. 4-ranked Gryphons (2-0), a U SPORTS Top 10 showdown at home against the No. 2-ranked Queen's Gaels (2-0) on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 19). Game time from Varsity Field set for 1pm on Alumni Day.
Women's Soccer: No. 6
The Gryphons women's soccer team remains at No. 6 in the latest national rankings following their 4-1 road win against the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night (Sept. 11). Guelph got goals from
Olivia Mills,
Ella Cahill,
Olivia Rizakos and
Sienna Dodgson to start their season off winning their first three matches of the season. The No. 6-ranked Gryphons will play of pair of games this weekend, starting on Friday night (Sept. 18) for a road matchup against the Windsor Lancers before returning home to the Gryphon Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 20 – 1pm) for a date with the Western Mustangs.
