Reid Coolsaet is one of the most decorated runners in Gryphon history. During his collegiate career he was a six-time All-Canadian and twice named the University of Guelph Male Athlete of the Year (2002, 2003). In 2003, his last year as a Gryphon, Reid won OUA gold and CIS bronze in Cross Country and was named the OUA MVP. That same year he then went on to win a CIS gold (3000m) and CIS silver (1500m) in Track and Field. He helped guide the Gryphons to four OUA and CIS Cross Country Championship titles (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003) spearheading a championship legacy that continues today.
 
Not only did Reid post impressive results at Guelph but also on the national and international stage. He was a World University Games 5,000-metre silver medalist and a 10-time National Champion in Cross Country and Track and Field. He represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympics finishing 27th overall in the marathon event. He qualified for those Games after finishing third in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. He is currently the third-fastest Canadian marathoner ever and ranks No. 4 all-time in the 5,000m and No. 7 in the 10,000m.
