John Eccles (1990)
Inducted as a Builder - Friday, September 28, 1990
"As a coach and administrator, John Eccles left a lasting influence on University of Guelph Athletics. He coached Golf, Curling, Basketball and Cross Country as well as assisting in several other areas. An outstanding athlete in his own right - John brought these high standards to those athletes he coached. His positive and always pleasant support as an administrator in the Department of Residences was appreciated by all who worked with him.
In honour of his strong affiliation with intramural athletics, the I.A.A. named a plaque for Co-Ed highest points in his name."
