Biography

Stephanie is hoping to build on a solid rookie year in which she showed marked improvement as the season went on. She is a speedy little forward who goes allout on every shift. Her hard forechecking helps create turnovers and shift momentum in a game. Her work ethic and constant drive to achieve her goals were noticed by coaching staff, who presented her with the Most Improved Player award at season’s end. 2007-08: Hard work and determination earned Stephanie more minutes in crucial situations as the year went on. She had great success as a checking forward and got quality minutes as a dependable penalty-killer. Her only regular season goal was a crucial one, the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over the Queens Golden Gaels in October. In addition, she scored the game-winning goal and got an assist in her first career playoff game, helping Guelph to win the OUA quarterfinal against Windsor. The Gryphons presented Stephanie with the Most Improved Player award at season’s end. Pre-Guelph: Stephanie is from Sarnia, Ontario, where she played for the Sarnia Midget AA Lady Sting.
