GUELPH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons celebrated the best and brightest from a memorable 2024-25 season by holding the annual Gryphons Athletics Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. TORONTO, Ont. – Friday night (Feb. 13, 2026) at York University's Tait McKenzie Centre, the Guelph Gryphons women's basketball team dropped their regular season finale on the road, with the York Lions winning, 60-51. Despite the result, the playoff-bound Gryphons end their regular season with an impressive record of 16-6 (5th in the OUA) while the Lions improved to 11-10 with the victory. A tough night offensively for the Gryphons saw the team limited to 28.8% shooting from the field while committing 26 turnovers to York's 13 turnovers. GUELPH, Ont. – The Gryphons women's basketball team bounced back on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 8), knocking off the Algoma Thunderbirds to earn a weekend home split after dropping Friday night's (Feb. 6) matchup to No. 3-ranked TMU Bold. The win gets the Gryphons closer to the OUA West Division crown and a bye to the quarterfinals in the playoffs as their record improves to 16-5 on the regular season. GUELPH, Ont. – The Gryphons women's basketball team wins their 14th game of the season as they defeat the Laurier Golden Hawks 63-49 from the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre on Wednesday night (Jan. 21). Guelph was in control of the game throughout the night as they were in the lead for the majority of the game, only trailing once when Laurier was leading 3-0. The Gryphons defence led the way with another impressive performance, holding the Golden Hawks to 30.6% shooting from the field and had 15 steals while forcing 23 turnovers. The Gryphs also found their shooting touch from the three-point line, making 10 of their 19 threes. For the second straight game, Hannah Bourdon and Christina Morra each had a double-double in the win. Bourdon, the fourth-year guard led the way with 20 points, 11 rebound and 6 steals. Morra, the Mississauga native finished the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds for her 7th double-double on the season.
