GUELPH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons celebrated the best and brightest from a memorable 2024-25 season by holding the annual Gryphons Athletics Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. GUELPH, Ont. – The second week of March sees three Gryphon varsity teams in postseason action with it all kicking off on Tuesday (Mar. 10) with the figure skating team taking to the ice for the OUA Figure Skating Championships. Women's swimming will take to the pool in Markham for nationals with women's hockey closing out the week of postseason action when they host the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the McCaw Cup Final on Saturday (Mar. 14). GUELPH, Ont. - Any individual wanting to attend an "Open Tryout" for a University of Guelph varsity team must complete the Athlete Portal (information below) as well as the Medical Health Questionnaire (information below) and be medically cleared for participation. In addition, a Tryout Fee of $30 must be paid at the Client Service Desk in the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre or online. Individuals who are first-year students will need to create an account in the system. TORONTO, Ont. – For a third consecutive season, the Guelph Gryphons varsity figure skating team has earned a spot on the OUA podium. The Gryphons took home bronze, after finishing in 3rd-place, out of 10 universities from across the province, in the final team standings at the 2025 OUA Figure Skating Championships in Toronto. The two-day conference championship event (March 4-to-5, 2025) took place at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, with TMU serving as hosts.
