GUELPH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons celebrated the best and brightest from a memorable 2024-25 season by holding the annual Gryphons Athletics Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. BURLINGTON, Ont. – For the third time during the 2025-26 season, a pair University of Guelph student-athletes has been named 'OUA Athlete of the Week.' Alexandra McDougall from the Guelph Gryphons women's cross country team and Owen Williams of the U of G men's rugby team has earned 'OUA Athlete of the Week' honours for the period covering November 3 to 9. McDougall and Williams were among four student-athletes across the province to earn recognition with Kyana-Jade Poulin (Carleton women's basketball) and Christian Zeppieri (York men's soccer). KINGSTON, Ont. – The Guelph Gryphons men's and women's cross country teams travelled to Kingston for the 2025 OUA Cross Country Championship, hosted by Queen's University. The Gryphon men took home silver, finishing in 2nd out of 14 universities in the final team standings, with a pair of podium finishes from (Max Davies 2nd and Jack Lehto 3rd) helping the Gryphs earn a silver medal.
