GUELPH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons celebrated the best and brightest from a memorable 2024-25 season by holding the annual Gryphons Athletics Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. GUELPH, Ont. – A busy week in October sees six Gryphon varsity teams in postseason action with it all kicking off on Wednesday night (Oct. 15) as the men's soccer team hosts a preliminary round match. Also highlighting the playoff action this week is the Gryphons baseball team when they compete at nationals in Montreal while women's lacrosse and golf teams are in action at their respective OUA championships. Women's rugby and women's rugby will also begin their postseason journey from the U of G campus this weekend. GUELPH, Ont. – An impressive 2025 season officially came to an end for the Guelph Gryphons baseball team on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 4, 2025) at David E. Hastings Stadium in Guelph. The Gryphons were on the wrong end of a 6-1 score line against the Brock Badgers in the final of the OUA West Regional Qualifier. With the result, the Brock Badgers book a spot in the 2025 OUA Baseball Championship Tournament (Oct. 10-11 at Jack Couch Park in Kitchener – hosted by Waterloo Warriors), while the Gryphons come up just short of earning a spot at the conference championship tournament. The Gryphons head into 2025 after they fell just short of reaching the OUA final four after being edged out by Brock in the OUA West Regional Qualifier. Guelph went on claim silver at nationals, falling to Carleton in the championship game of the 2024 Canadian University National Championship invitational. In addition, a Tryout Fee of $30 must be paid at the Client Service Desk in the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre or online. Individuals who are first-year students will need to create an account in the system.
