WINDSOR, Ont. – The Gryphon women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss to the Windsor Lancers in Windsor Saturday. The women's record moves to 5-2-0 on the season while the Lancers improve to 3-3-1.
 
Courtney Whiteside (Guelph, Ont.) opened the scoring for Guelph in the 20^th minute but the Lancers battled back to take a 2-1 lead before halftime with goals from Giulia Barile and Jacklyn Faraci in the 22^nd and 31^st minute. Windsor's Brianne Riccardi scored the lone goal in the second half at the 57^th minute mark to make the final 3-1 for the Lancers.
 
The Gryphons outshot the Lancers 12-11 in the loss and goalie Alex King made two saves in the loss.

The Gryphons return home Sunday to face the UOIT Ridgebacks at 1:00 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
